While I try to switch up our own monthly events, offering weekly wine and culture talks, another great place for virtual Italy events is over on AirBnb experiences. Since the start of the pandemic, AirBnb offered the option for experiences to go online. I absolutely love Airbnb experiences, I offer two tours through them and always pick a few experiences to participate in when I travel. While browsing around I decided to pick a few virtual Italy events to explore the country from afar.
Below you will find a few history and culture talks, wine events, cooking classes and even fun games like escape rooms! While all these are focused on Italy, Airbnb Experiences offers options from all over the world, you can check them out all at Airbnb under “Online Experiences”.
Browse some of my favorite Italy Airbnb Experiences:
Italian Spiced Wines of the Past: A new look at wine, discover how the ancient Romans enjoyed their wine. Not only the ancient Romans, your host will guide you through a Medevial and Renassiance wine “cocktail” to follow the journey of wine through Italy’s history. Wine was often mixed with spices and other natural additives in order to preserve the wine better. Tickets start at 15euro, click here to book a spot!
The Great Pasta Journey: not just another pasta class, this will be an interactive and entertaining dive into the history of pasta throughout the whole peninsula!
Discover Italy’s History through Escape Rooms! Such a fun idea for an interactive virtual party with friends. There are many different themes including a Dante themed escape room!
Discover Italy through Music: A great event to learn the songs of Italy and their cultural heritage. This is great for all of you music lovers!
